Hartford, CT — The Women’s College Squash Association Individual Championships concluded with the Ramsay Cup (A Division) finals.

In front of a packed gallery, top-seeded Amanda Sobhy (Harvard), the 2012 Ramsay Cup Champion, faced third-seeded Kanzy El Defrawy (Trinity).  The two players had faced each other three times this season. During the regular season, El Defrawy lost to Sobhy in four games, while at the National Team Championships, the Bantams’ first-year lost in three games.

Both players faced top collegiate players to make the finals. Sobhy defeated Danielle Letourneau (Cornell) in the quarters and Yan Xin Tan (Penn) in the semifinals. El Defrawy defeated 2010 Ramsay Cup Champion Laura Gemmell (Harvard) in the quarters and 2011 Ramsay Cup Champion Millie Tomlinson (Yale) in the semifinals.
