Loudenville, NY — Siena College is part of a growing number of Catholic colleges and universities joining the ranks of the College Squash Association. In recent years, Boston College, Georgetown University, Fordham University, Notre Dame, and most recently Siena have fielded teams in either the men’s or women’s divisions. Siena has two international courts.
Last season, Siena played in the Emerging Teams division of the National Team Championships. This season, Siena returns all of its players from last season. In addition, two juniors, Adam Burn and Kevin Walsh, are expected to join the squad. The team is planning to play more matches prior to this season’s National Team Championships. The team hopes to enter this season’s Hawthorn Cup.
According to coach Dan Sleasman, “We have an enthusiastic group looking to play and learn and build from their very positive experience at team nationals last year.”
