Job Description
Wellesley College is seeking a head squash coach for its club team for the upcoming season, which runs from October to February. Wellesley College is a women’s college located outside of Boston in Wellesley, MA. The Wellesley College Squash team is a Club Sport and hosts 9– 12 players ranging from beginner to intermediate level. The team’s goal is to provide opportunities for its members to learn and develop skills in playing squash at an open andencouraging environment. The team is seeking candidates who can design and facilitate practices and provide coaching during matches. The team typically practices at The Dana Hall School (also in Wellesley) on weekday mornings 3 days/week and matches will take place on 3 weekends (mostly Saturdays) during the season.

Requirements

  • History of coaching squash (experience with beginners a plus!)
  • Plan and attend practices
  • Provide coaching during matches
  • Excellent communication skills

Club Sports are under the supervision of the Director of Recreation in the Department of Physical Education, Recreation and Athletics. Club Sport coaches are part-time faculty, non-benefits-eligible employees. The position approval is contingent on the approval of the Director of Recreation and completion of a CORI/SORI background and driver’s licenses screenings. The position compensation is $3,500.
