Weekend Wrap-up 12/11/2017

Princeton No. 2 Adhitya Raghavan captured a 13-11, 11-9, 11-9 win against Drexel’s Bransten Ming on Saturday.

Teams finished a final set of matches prior to winter breaks with a light weekend of competition, December 8-10.

The No. 7-ranked Princeton men upset No. 8 Drexel University on Saturday 7-2. The Tigers were led by wins at the top three positions, including victories for freshmen No. 1 Youssef Ibrahim and No. 3 Cole Becker.

On Friday, Wesleyan split matches with Connecticut College—the Wesleyan women swept their matches 9-0, but the No. 30-ranked Connecticut College men upset No. 25 Wesleyan 6-3. The Camels men captured positions three through eight, losing only one game across the six matches.

Williams and Dartmouth faced off on Saturday. The Williams women, ranked No. 14, pushed the No. 10 ranked Dartmouth team by winning the top three positions. However, the depth of the Dartmouth squad proved to be the deciding factor as they won the remaining matches to capture the overall result 6-3. The Dartmouth men won their side of the match 9-0.

College play will resume the first week in January as teams return for the second half of the season, and fight for ranking positions leading into the team championships in February.
