Poughkeepsie, NY — Vassar concluded the 2014 – 2015 season by finishing third in the E Division at Team Championships. This season, the Brewers plan to improve. According to head coach Jane Parker, “The goal is always to finish with a higher ranking. This season we are also aiming to play our way into the next division, the Epps Cup at the CSA Team Championships in February 2016.” The first match on the schedule is against Colgate, and then the competition does not slow down. “The remaining first semester will be an exciting challenge to see how we shape up against Haverford, Dickinson, Connecticut College and Mount Holyoke, as all teams finished last season ahead of the Brewers in the CSA team rankings,” adds Parker. With the loss of three players from last season to graduation, the Brewers are expecting two first-year players to join the team. If Vassar can earn some victories during the first semester, they may have a opportunity to earn a spot in the Epps Cup.
