Tufts: 2015 – 2016 Men’s College Squash Season Preview

Tufts University

Medford, MA — Tufts will be young but deep this season. Head coach Joe McManus reports, “Tufts’ men aim to continue their rankings rise this season. The team will welcome six freshmen who all are expected to compete for a roster spot.” McManus describes the team as the deepest it has been in his time with the program. The Jumbos, who finished 28th in the nation last year, will need to draw on that depth early when they open the season against Stanford, a team Tufts has lost to three years in a row. Stanford finished just ahead of the Jumbos last season, and a win over the Cardinal would be a positive first step towards Tufts’ goal of finishing in the top 25. “NESCAC rivals Connecticut College, Colby College, and Hamilton College will also be key opportunities for Tufts to show we are competitive in conference play,” explains McManus.
