Bowdoin: 2015 – 2016 Men’s College Squash Season Preview

Bowdoin CollegeBrunswick, ME — Bowdoin came close last season. The Polar Bears played six 5-4 matches, the second most in the nation. Unfortunately for Bowdoin, they only captured one of the six matches. Yet, these close losses served as a valuable learning experience that the Polar Bears will carry into the 2015 – 2016 campaign. According to head coach Tomas Fortson, Bowdoin wants to “come together as a team, get better throughout the season and compete well.” Although all matches have been identified as important this season, rematches of last season’s 5-4 contests with Amherst, Colby, Hobart, and Wesleyan will be important for the Polar Bears’ success. With six incoming players, Bowdoin’s deeper ladder could move the Polar Bears higher in the Summers Cup.
