Notre Dame: 2015 – 2016 Women’s College Squash Season Preview

Notre Dame, University ofSouth Bend, IN — Notre Dame didn’t make the trip to the Women’s National Team Championships last year, nor did they win any matches. However, captain Brittany Sanok is optimistic about the coming season. “We hope to play competitive matches, improve the performance of our team as a whole, and bring our enthusiastic team spirit to every match,” she says. While the team’s former coach, Geoff McCuen, relocated and is no longer with the team, they do expect to have three new players who will make an impact on the ladder. Sanok believes the newcomers may help Notre Dame close the gap with Minnesota. “We had a close match with them last year and considering our improved game and addition of new experienced players we believe our next match will be equally as competitive,” she says. “All the players on our team are dedicated to creating an enthusiastic and competitive team and we always welcome new talent as well as those just interested in learning the game.”
