Boston College: 2014 – 2015 Women’s College Squash Season Preview

Boston CollegeBoston, MA — Boston College is on a mission to become the top club team in the nation. The Eagles came extremely close to that goal last season. They made it to the Epps Cup (D Division) final against the University of Virginia. UVA won the match in the 5th game of the final match. According to co-captain Caroline Whelan, the Eagles are “playing UVA on November 1st, which will be an important match because we lost to them in the Epps Cup finals 5-4. Hopefully it will be another close and exciting match.” To become the top club team in the nation, BC will need more production from their top 3. Last season, the top 3 captured 28% of their matches, compared to 58% for the middle 3 and 64% for the bottom 3. Adding to the challenge this season, many of the Eagles’ juniors will be studying abroad. With the Team Championships being held in Boston, look for Boston College to be very motivated throughout the season.
