Southern California: 2013 – 2014 Men’s College Squash Season Preview

Southern California, University ofLos Angeles, CA — The University of Southern California has a bit of a rebuilding effort in store for them this coming season. They graduated the middle of the line-up, but the team is very optimistic. After all, only one player on this year’s team is a senior. They have a number of incoming players who will fill the bottom of the ladder and they have one incoming player who is expected to join the top of the order.  Youth is on USC’s side. “Last year was a great learning curve for the team and we improved with the inclusion of many new players,” states co-captain Manhar Bajaj. The team has five primary goals for the upcoming season: win the Serues Cup, train and play hard, improve as a team, encourage sportsmanship, and promote squash on the West Coast. The team is looking forward to facing competition at the West Coast round robin and it also plans to visit the Midwest for matches. It will be interesting to see how the young USC squad develops throughout the season.
