Ithaca: 2012 – 2013 Men’s College Squash Season Preview

Ithaca, NY — Ithaca will have a change in leadership this season. In the first three years of the program’s existence, captain and club co-founder Brad Kolodner served as a jack-of-all-trades for the team: playing number 1, coaching, scheduling matches, and running practices. Kolodner graduated last season, and volunteer assistant coach Hap Bradley is taking over the reins as principle coach. “The new captains [Natasha Jones-Sikes and Ty Broderson] and head coach [Bradley] will pick up right where I left off and continue to grow and develop the program for many years to come,” Kolodner says. Three new players will be joining the team. Sion Sennon, a Street Squash graduate, is expected to play in the top 3, and  Patrick Phillmore and Dan Metcalfe will compete for spots in the bottom 3. Siena, Swarthmore, Bard, NYU and Bryant should be key matches for Ithaca this season. “We have very competitive matches against these teams every year,” Kolodner says.
