Princeton, NJ — The 2011 Women’s College Squash Team Championship Howe Cup (“A” Division) semifinal was contested between Trinity and Harvard.
Based on the regular season results, the match at the number one position was going to be tightly contested.
During the February 9th meeting at Harvard, Trinity’s Catalina Pelaez, a first-year student, took Laura Gemmell, the reigning Ramsay Cup winner (individual champion) to five games (9-11, 11-5, 7-11, 11-9, and 11-6).
A mere ten days later, Pelaez and Gemmell met again. The two played a tight first game, which Gemmell captured 11-9.
