Hanover, NH — At the 2011 Men’s College Squash Association Individual Championships, Williams’ Will Gruner and Rochester’s Matt Domenick played in the round of 32 of the Molloy Cup (“B” Division).
Below is video from the second game of the match between Gruner and Domenick. Domenick won the match in three games (11-6,11-9,11-9).
Gruner, the senior co-captain of the Ephs, closed out his college squash career by going 2-2 in the Molloy Cup. He defeated Kenyon’s Peter Nolan to set up the meeting with Domenick, defeated Bowdoin’s Andrew Bernard, and lost to Cornell’s Rishi Jalan. Gruner was named to the 2011 All-NESCAC team.
Domenick, a junior, advanced to the Molloy Cup finals with victories over Gruner, Brown’s Adrian Leanza, and Rochester teammate Juan Pablo Gaviria. He lost in three games to Omar Sobhy in the finals.
