2010-2011 Men’s College Squash Team Rankings (12/9/2010)

Northampton, MA — Today, the men’s College Squash Association released its third team rankings of the season.

With last week’s plethora of upsets, there were many changes in the rankings. With its victory over Harvard, Cornell leapfrogged the Crimson to take over #5.  Similarly, after defeating Penn, Franklin & Marshall moved up to #9.

In the teens, St. Lawrence’s first-ever victory over the Naval Academy moved the Saints to #14, while Brown slid up to #13.  George Washington’s 5-4 victory against Bowdoin propelled the Colonials up three spots to #16.

Wesleyan made the biggest move of the week. The Cardinals jumped from #29 to #22 after victories over Colby, Georgetown, and Tufts. Conn also beat Georgetown to move to #26.

Coaches and Team Contacts, please remember to enter your team’s results in the US Squash Scoring System on the day of each match. After warnings, Bucknell, Illinois Champaign, Lafayette, and North Carolina were removed from the rankings due to failure to enter their results. Presuming their results are posted, these teams will be eligible to reenter the rankings at the next ranking release.

In addition, as stated in the Men’s College Squash Association Bylaws, each men’s team must complete six matches to compete in the Men’s National Team Championships. (This applies to teams intending to compete in the nine-player divisions at nationals and not to teams intending to compete in the five-player Emerging Teams division.)
