Tulane: 2009 – 2010 Men’s College Squash Season Preview

tulaneNew Orleans, LA – After finishing second in the Emerging Teams division two years ago, Tulane had to sit out the 2009 National Team Championships due to a scheduling conflict. This season, the Green Wave hope to make it back to Nationals and compete with a full nine-player roster.

Led by junior captains Jordi Goodman and Ben Zucker, the Tulane squad is ambitious despite its limited resources and funding. The team plans to travel several times during the season and compete in the Southeastern Squash Racquets Association (SESRA) tournament.  Tulane also hopes to host a tournament in New Orleans for other Southern-area schools.

Michael Gilman, a former Princeton player, will join the team as head coach. The players, who are all in excellent academic standing, have been training over the summer at their respective clubs, and when Tulane makes it back to Nationals, it should be stronger than ever.
